Perhaps this thread will help: /tf/WW/en/Posts/66917 In there, someone posted an image of the help file showing indirect addressing. Seems there are many options for indirect addressing in V11 ProSP2. Maybe search the portal help for "indirect addressing" for the specifics of your application. |

it should work fine with an INT as I tested: #test:=IW(#hd):P; |

Thanks for reply. What I want to achieve? - build an FB to handle ASi I/O functions, r/w, query status (LPS, LDS) - input (I/O read) data's pass to a DB, out data's come also from a DB - FB will be universal (handle more ASi Master(s) w. independent DB's) Whats wrong? - access I/O area [IB272... in my case] with indirect addressing in SCL. In STL the base functions (access A/B area, LDS, LPS access w. ASI3422) working well, as in manual of CP343-2. I try to use LAD and SCL in this project. The naked issue: why can't work in my casehdhosseini's code(as suggested) inside FB:
#test := IW(#hd):P;
When I migrate my original (v5.5) project.s7p sample, I get result in generated SCL as original thread starter,Mr Lindhsaid:
#PIW_indirect:=IW(#Addr):P;
After migrating, looks like OK, no error while compiling - but ASi read always give back zero's. Therefore I try to write a few line's SCL to clarify, IB(#l_Addr):P, why can't give back I/O data. Thanks
