I have a question on the behaviour of the internal event when SS1 safty failure occurs in "SS1 with external stop" condition. I refered to the document Safety Integrated Function manual, section 4.1.2.2. I have set p9653 to 1 and p9652 > 0. Now using my plc program I have enabled the drive and changing the position of axis from 0 to 2000mm at a velocity of 800mm/sec. When it reaches around 1700, I activated SS1 (safe stop 1). The image of the result is attached in the pdf. What I expected Now as the velocity (800 mms/sec) is greater than the reference velocity (480 mm/se =600 rpm) I expected internal event (Bit 7 of the status word) to go high . In this image this bit is named as "SI_STW1_IntEvtACK". STO should be activated after the delay time and velocity goes to 0. What I observed STO is high and the velocity is bring down to 0. But I didnt see an internal event. Could you please help me to understand why there is no event generated ? Also I checked with the SLS safety check (picture attached) Here when the velocity goes above the setpoint limit and when the SLS is activated, internal event is generated. I expected a similar behaviour in SS1case also as I thought this is a case of "the violation of a supervision limit of a safe autonomous drive functions (e.g. supervision of the ramp after activation of ramp stop)." as described under Safety fault buffer in 6.4.3 of Technical Specification for PRofibus and Profinet. Could you please tell me in what condition the internal event in SS1E safety check is high ? AttachmentSS1_InternalEvent.pdf (73 Downloads) |

Hallo Technology Team, Thank you for the clarification. A bit more information from my side about configuration is here. I have configured in starter for - safety with encoder and accel_monitoring (SAM) / delay time. Please see the attachment. What should I expect here? My understanding was that, in this state, it start monitorin the ramp (SAM) when SS1 is active without waiting for the delay time. And under this condition when the velocity is above the limit, cant the internal event (bit 7 of safety status word) go high. The reason for my doubt is that - As per the Amendment Profidrive on Profisafe - internal event is generated when "Unacknowledged faults or currently not acknowledgeable faults are present in theSafety Fault Buffer". Section 6.4.3 states about the safety fault buffer, and it also mention that "the violation of a supervision limit of a safe autonomous drive functions (e.g. supervision of the ramp after activation of ramp stop)"also as a reason for internal event generation.
