efka Posts: 799 Rating: (39)	Jasner Do I need to know exact IP address which was steup on old computer in order to have fully functional connection to PLC? NO! When you can ping your plc successfully the physical and logical network connection is correct so far. Now it only can be a setting or "old parameter" from the old pc. I would recomment you to delete the *.dcf file in WinCC project folder. (project must be closed and you should do backup before). The file will be automatic recreated when you restart the project. Reason: In this file some ip-addresses and computer names are saved. Now, when you have new computer with new name and new ip address, this might not match. So try this in the next step. best regards

Jasner Experienced Member Joined: 6/10/2008 Last visit: 1/14/2021 Posts: 111 Rating: (1)	Hi, after installing SIMATIC NET (it was installed on the old computer) and Ialso did what efka suggested (deleted *.dcf file in WinCC project ). Everything is working fine. I'm not sure what was the problem, because I didn't perform any setup with any of SIMATIC NET tools. In any case, problem is solved. Thank you all.

CPU is brand new 414-3EM06-0AB0 with 2 integreted Profinet/Ethtrnet ports. PC is with CP1612A2 (6GK1161-2AA01). Cable, RJ45s are original. WinCC is V7.0.3. + SPx. All is delevered some 15-20 days ago. The network is configured for TCP/IP. Correct address is set in the WinCC and CP on the computer. From Simatic Manager through MPI port of CPU I see as part of diagnostic mac address of Ethernet cards of CPU and PC. SoI supose I connected the cablecorrectly.On PC, Ping returns no loses, find both devisces (CPU and PC). But WinCC Channel Diagnostic have red X in frontof SIMATIC S7 PROTOCOL SUITE and its subconnection, which I named it NewConnection. I am hoping for some help here. Edit: Problem solved. It needed just new installation of WinCC.

Navaneeth_N Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Dear, My PC was formatted on C drive,due to virus problem,after that re-installed WINCC V7.0 SP2,then installed update 1,then installed update 10.Finally,opened recent project back-up.But all tags are shown Process value: 0, Quality code: 8, No connection to PLC,In Screen all the values are shown in exclametry symbol.So again i un-installed from control panel,then again installed WINCC V7.0 SP2,then installed update 1,then installed update 10. But there is no improvement.Please give me solution for this issue. Reply:- Right now,my issue was solved,due to followed your guide lines.Thanks for sharing.
