1-Is it possible to replace P.S with another different type with out changing H.W in the program? 2-How the P.S supply the PLC with power if It has no connection to the backplane-bus? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

How the P.S internat power to PLC? The PLC is not powered over the Backplane |

Hello, the named Powersupply is connected to the frontconnector of the PLC(24V) (see the PLC Manual how to do this (https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/15390415) If the PLC is powered on then the power for the Backplane interface of the PLC is generated from this 24v internal in the PLC (voltage Converter in the PLC Hardware). I understand that P.S supply power to CPU and CPU supply power to PLC through backplane right? |

hi, maybe this also helps: SIMATIC S7-300 CPU 31xC and CPU 31x: Installation see chapter 6.4, wiring the power supply module and the CPU: here you see the only connection between PS and CPU. regards, |
