Dear all, I have a machine with a S7 IM151-8 PLC with a KTP Basic 7" Panel that are working together perfectly. Software was made with TIA 13.1. There is an ewon installed in that machine so I remotely am able to make modifications on the PLC (it works nicely). The problem comes when I try to download something in the HMI, because the Wincc is not able to see the panel in any manner. I can ping the HMI, but when I try to download on it, the boring procedure of searching the HMI fails , telling me that there aren't any devices available. Any1 has experience with ewon and the KTP Basic panels ? Danke in advance |

Hello Davinator, Does eWon support Profinet? With the basic panel 1st gen, it was possible to download via "Ethernet", but the 2nd gen is only possible with "Profinet". That would explain why you are able to ping but not see it. The comfort panels offer both "Ethernet" and "Profinet". One of my customer had issue with this via a Cisco switch. Best regards, Hugo |

Thanks Hugo, well, eWon doesn't support Profinet, of course. It is not a PNET slave and his job is to "forward" the packets coming from remote to local devices. What you say about comfort panels is true: I can remotely program them easily but not the basic panels. Another issue of ewon with siemens (Simotion) is that if a device hasn't any IP or pnet name, from remote, you cannot see it through mac address. And this is a pity because you can't remotely assign an IP to it. This must be done locally. But for basic panels I think that this is not acceptable: you must be able to reach them with ewon exactly as you are able to reach them locally. Any1 else has other ideas or walktrough ? |

Hello Davinator I serviced several Siemens HMI panels with Ewon routers. There are are general settings to make communication possible. The router adres must be set in the IP adres settings. And the remote setting on the panal normally in the connection settings. What happens if the other side shut down the power to the panal and after the connect to host option. See panal manual. Be careful with the older Ewon and firmware updates. There is a issue with data limit the processor can handle, it crashes the communication. Did not crashed a flexy jet . A router is not supporting all service protocols, |

Hello, I have the same problem, my hardware is the plc s7-1200 and the HMI is KTP 700 Basic PN. My support of Ewon (Italy) last month sended me a manual to connect the module with HMI Basic. But he says only: uncheck the flag for accesible nodes. Have someone a solution for this problem? Thanks Good Job |

Hello, Any luck with the connection? There is an option to enter a gateway address (Currently 0.0.0.0) inside the KTP700 (192.168.0.15) panel, and the ewon has a local IP address on the automation network(Ex:192.168.0.200). Is there a way to make some kind of routing from the Ewon external address to the Ewon local address to the KTP700 address? It would be something like this: Internet access Local address on KTP700 IP Ewon External address Ewon Automation network Automation network 10.xxx.xxx.xxx --> 192.168.0.200 --> IP:192.168.0.15 Gateway: 0.0.0.0 Any ideas? Regards, |

Hello Of course you have to enter a Gateway Adress in the Panel if you want to get access to it over VPN. Because the Panel has to know where to send the IP Packages that should receive devices outside the local subnet. But eWon has a lot of examples for standard configurations with for example Siemens Panels or PLCs. https://ewon.biz/support/product/s7-300-400-1200-1500-vipa/s7-300-s7-400-s7-1200-s7-1500-vipa Bye Murof |
