MANS Posts: 37 Rating: (2)	Dear Experts, I have KTP1000, I was trying to programme it via (Totally Integrated Automation Portal V10), during the first download it says that the operating system is not match! Then I confirm the update. Unfortunately this was not upgrading the OS, it was downgrading the OS. However, I have started the device, starting booting and then getting hung! And freezes I noticed that the loader bootloader v1.38 (2012-03-27) which means the one I update with older version. Now I cannot access to the control panel and check the setting for the OS. How to go back with old setting? Is there an option to reset the device? Thanks for your usual cooperation and help..

luzkov Posts: 9 Rating: (1)	Found a solution to the problem. 1. Please note settings Start - Control Patel - Set PG/PC Interfaces S7ONLINE! 2. In Simatic Pro Save insert real IP and set IP in your PC. Example Pro Save IP - 192.168.0.2 PC IP - 192.168.0.100 Massk - 255.255.255.0. 3. In OS update set - Reset to factory settings. 4. Open Image. 5. In HIM power off!!! 6. click Update OS. 7. And in Him set powwer on. 8. wait. Only thing is, I cannot do a factory reset, since I cannot establish comms to the panel, due to the fact that I cannot get to the control panel. Did you manage to find a way to reset the KTP1000? Hope you can help Thanks

Onyi Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Thanks . Your instructions was God Sent. I lost 30 Hours production trying to figure out how to do a factory re-set. With Ethernet connectivity, the factory reset apparently only works with pro-save where the Mac and IP address be set!. The Siemens document 'operating system update with WIincc *(TIA PORTAL). does not seem to help much.

ikazategi Member Joined: 6/28/2013 Last visit: 5/21/2025 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	866/5000 After trying all the solutions proposed, dealing with the Siemens technical service and all this without result, I have sent the screen to my supplier who has replied with a screen repair estimate for Siemens for more than 100% of the cost ofthe new screen. I find it an insult to want to charge for a Siemens error in the programming of the firmware or the Tia portal software, especially when there is no way to reset the factory by the user, something that is already solved in the new versions of the same screen (where you have added a USB among other things). After many years working with Siemens products for automation, this has been my first problem with their products, but it makes me consider continuing to use them when they turn their back on the first problem whose origin is their failure.
