Dear mmaher, Conversion from differential pressure to percentage is done in the transmitter.This is known as calibration based on (LRV and URV) and it is tricky in some cases.By selecting proper engineering values while calibrating, you can ensure valid data on analog input of PLC.For PCS7, I think normal block such as Analog driver block and measurement monitor suffice your application with an interface to the monitoring system. 1. Connect sensor signal to analog input module 2. Add analog driver block to program and use corresponding address of the module and set it to inputparameter VALUE 3. Check sensor range..Each sensor with a transmitter is configured for a specific range (0-1000 degrees Celsius, 0-5 bar etc.) 4. Set range values to parameter VHRANGE and VLRANGE of the analog driver block (CH_AI). 5. Output parameter V you can interconnect with a MEAS_MON block or any other block which processes REAL data types-> If you want to operate a valve, you can interconnect the parameter V to a PID_S block (for example). There you make the control logic for operating valves |
