Hi hoa024 What exactly is the error that you are getting when converting this block to S7. ? This looks like a user written block and should be convertibible to S7 without too much trouble ! Cheers Navnag |

I have a source S5 , I use module "Converting S5 Files" to convert s5->s7 FB226 "not available" in s7. I open source S7 after convert and see have comment "CALLL FB 226". I'm not sure my function will be right after convert because i can't find document talk about communication FB226 in step 7. Please see my attach for details Thanks AttachmentAttach.zip (55 Downloads) |

Hi hoa024 The Block FB 226 is being identified with the Name : TDOP:L2 It is a standard block required to be called for Communication between a S5 PLC and a TD/OP on L2 Bus. ( Itis Normally numbered as FB 55 ) Pl see the attached details regarding usage of the FB in S5 This block is not at all required in S7 as TD/OP can establish direct communication with the PLC witout having to call any special FBs for TD/OPs. You can therefroe Delete this block ( and associated DB_ZU andrest of the logic programmed to run this block - See the Description attached ) Hope this helps Cheers Navnag AttachmentS5_Std_Blocks_for_TDOP_Profibus.pdf (83 Downloads) |

Hi hoa024 FB 120 -> Fb125 are called Data Handling blocks and are used in S5 135U/155U for Controlling communication using Communication processors like CP525 , CP 524 , CP544 etc. In most cases these may not be needed in S7 (e.g. where the CPs are used to establish communication withHMI / SCADA ) and can be ignored. In few cases ( e.g. Modbus / USS Communication ) The S5 Program needs to be manually ported to S7 ( There is no automatic conversion possible ) You can find more details about these blocks in the Manual of the Specific Communication processor for which these blocks are used in the S5 Software. CP 524/525 : http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/12806839 CP 544 : http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/1108809 Attached pl find an Extract from the Manual of CP544 giving details of the Data Handling blocks as applied to CP 544.
