Thank you, thank you, thank you... I reinstalled it like 5 times...

Parts of the keys ‘s7tgtopx’ or ‘s7tgtopb’ are missing. Registry entry 'Software\Siemens\STEP7\2.0\Applications\s7tgtopx' not found or incorrect. Is an issue I received for the installation of Windows 10 Step 7 v5.6 professional. I have uninstalled, deleted from registry, removed program data/common files where siemens folders are, and re installed, but still facing issue. Is there a way to fix this without wiping my computer and running it as administrator?

The only way I have found around the issue that should work for Version Dog. By enabling the run as administrator on the .exe 

Has anyone else found a true solution?

Also, the error message has more info under the help text. 

I have compared a working and non-working user on Win10 registry entries and cannot find anything wrong with s7tgtopx.   However on a working and non-working machine, s7gtopb is not found.

Had this issue this morning (Windows 10) and solved it by deleting my user profile.

1) Login windows using another (admin) account

3) Press Windows + r and type netplwiz, press Enter.

4) Select the User account, click on the Remove button.

After this I was able to use Step7 as a non-admin again.

the reason is restricted registry access sometimes.

then step7 use registry virtualization and create some virtual reg keys which cause the problem if the registry access ist working again.

you can use the search here and the keyword "virtualstore"

the problem should be fixed with Step7 V5.6 SP1 HF5
