Hello, Thanks luciferC4, your patch solve an issue one of my customer had. He installed "STEP 7-Micro/WIN V4.0 SP6" which is not compatible with Windows 7. At this point he was not even able to uninstall "STEP 7-Micro/WIN V4.0 SP6" or to install/upgrade "STEP 7-Micro/WIN V4.0 SP9" (which is compatible with Windows 7) First thing: (This is what I found first, but did not solve all the issue) How do you uninstall STEP 7 Micro/WIN V4.0 after an aborted installation? Second thing: (This is what USA tech support gave me)
He was able to install "STEP 7-Micro/WIN V4.0 SP9" at this point. Then, he had issue with the Set PG/PC interface. He was not able to select "Micro/Win" in the "Access Point of the Application" list. I runned you .BAT file and it solved everything. Here is the contain of it:
Create a text file, copy/paste the above command in it and change the .txt to .bat and run it as administrator. I am now able to select "PC/PPI.cable.PPI.1" and also "Micro/Win". Thanks! Best regards, Hugo |

With the microwin connection problem, use the mpi adapter and set the pc/pg interface as ppi cable. That works |
