Hi guys,

I am having troubles to connect to any S7-1200 CPU with my TIA portal V13 update1 BASIC. TIA cannot find any accessible devices on network even when I am connected via lan directly to CPU. Software worked for me since version V11. Even with V13 Update 1 I was able to program couple of S7-1200 before.

What I tried to do:

• tried to change lan cable
• tried same SW installation and same cable on other laptop (worked fine)
• tied to setup PC/PG interface according working settings of my collegue
  
• tried to uninstall and than install V13
• manually assign IP address - didnt worked
• tried to connect to multiple S7-1200 CPUs
• tried to setup my LAN card for automatic IP gain
• tried to setup fixed IP address

I am hopeless now. Attached please find couple screenshots I made.

Do you have install software S7-200 ? 

I have encountered similar proplem as you and I have to fix them succeed

 Still no final solution to this annoying problem? I do have the same problem, and recon it has to be related to finding MAC adresses thru the PC NIC interface. I have disabled all firewall and security, no nodes show up. This is the same on two different PC which previously has been able to locate accessible nodes. All other communication thru the NIC is ok. One of my PC is running virtual and do have the same problem.

For me the solution was to run S7 1200 PST on an old stand alone XP piece, which found the nodes immediately and I could set the IP with this. All the PC on the same network. After this the TIA portal functioned as normal.( except the accessible node thing) When I tried to run the S7 1200 PST on any of the two PC  with problems, it did not find any accessible nodes.

Even if this can be a way around the problem it is not satisfactory - I guess things will be all right if I perform a reinstall but there is much hazzle involved in this and I guess its only a temporary fix.

Do you have install software S7-200 ?

have you check that the following Windows Services running?

Simatic PnDiscoveryService
Simatic Trace Service
S7Dos Help Service

On the Network Interface the Profinet protocols are installed and activated?

Install free tool from Siemens called PRONETA to give the initial IP address to the components.

-Yes all the mentioned tasks are up and running, configuration also ok. All other comms thru the NIC is ok

Yes I have managed to set IP address by using S/-1200 Tool, guess pronto is somewhat more sophisticated. But really, this should be possible to do within the TIA portal. I guess the function is rather unstable because it seems that this is a common problem, I am just trying to determine the cause: WIN, HW, TIA or......

I finally find my 1200 in tia portal under virtualmachine but not with the bridged connection only with the usb lan after installing simatic automation tool and it install missing drivers

I had same issue and in my case the root cause was my PC had multiple preferred IPv4 addresses.

And I have fixed by reseting ethernet adapter parameters:

1. Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt. (Run as Administrator)
2. Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults:netsh winsock reset catalog
3. Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults:netsh int ip reset reset.log
4. Reboot.
   

After previous steps it worked for me.

I experienced the same scienario today on a new 1200 CPU, tried many of the already suggested operations. Finally I disabled the WiFi on the laptop, disabled the firewall and virus protection, then the CPU was visible in the TIA14 portal, after downloading then the firewall and virus was enabled and connection to CPU remained active.

This is second time I experience this with new CPU when there is no IP address.

 The WIFI is a big one with me and so is windows defender. They both have to be off and windows efender specifically sometimes even if it's off I have to turn it on and then off again to access S7-1200 CPUs.

I have to say since I put TIA13 on VM by itself I'm having far less problems.
