Dear friends, My system have a OSServer, ES, PC for OPCServer (only OPC server, NO OS Client) and PC for OPCClient. I lost my license for "OpenPCS 7 Station" (V7.1), Can I use a license "OpenPCS 7 Station/OS" (V7.1) in replace of "OpenPCS 7 Station"? is valid? Can I test OpenPCS7 using VM (virtual machines) for all PCs of the described system? OpenPCS7 supports this? Another question, If I need to add to my system a back-end firewall (TMG) to separate bus terminal and the OPC server network, which considerations should I have to set the back-end firewall. And if I add a domain server on my bus terminal what additional considerations should I have? I attach a diagram of the architecture. Thanks for your help Regards AttachmentArquitectura final.pdf (45 Downloads) |

Hi, Question 1: if you lost you licence and you still have the certificate you can contact the customer support and should get a new one. Check out this FAQ for contact informations. If I undestand you right you have lost you licence 6ES7 658-0HX17-2YB0 -SIMATIC PCS 7 OpenPCS 7 V7.1 but you still have this one 6ES7 658-0GX17-2YB0 - SIMATIC PCS 7 OpenPCS 7/OS Client V7.1 In this case you can use the remaining licence because its deticated to have a OpenPCS 7 Server with OS Client functionality. The licence you lost is just the OpenPCS 7 Server. So your remaining licence contains the licence for the OpenPCS 7 server (check out PCS 7 standard catalog for version 7.1 in chapter 14). Question 2: Neither OpenPCS 7 norPCS 7 or any other PCS 7 option isreleased for VMware (usual VM wares running in VMware Player, or VMware Workstation). But... You can try to test it. I use PCS 7 in VMware workstation for testing purposes and it works fine. Pay attention to correct configuration of your VMs (network, memory, whatever, ...). This is just for testing, please don't use VMs in the field. If you are interested in virtualization for PCS 7 check out this document: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/51975791 Question 3: check your private message inbox I hope it will help you. Have a nice day. |
