Hello! I am developing a new PCS7 project with a redundant pair of OS servers. The PCS7 is V9.0 with the latest 3rd update. WinCC on ES and OS is 7.4 SP1. Servers are running Windows Server 2016. One is OSS1 and the second is OSS2. The problem: Yesterday I made a full download and on the first server some write protection error popped up. I restarted the machine so the services let go of the files and since this didn't help, I manually stopped the MSSQL service and deleted the whole project folder(at the time I don't care about tag and alarm logging). I made a full download, made the redundancy settings in the server and downloaded the second server. Started both runtimes and since then whichever server is started second it's runtime icon in the system try stays green for half a minute after runtime start and after that it becomes red. On the OS Client machine the second started server becomes red as if it is not available. I get an alarm "OS server(Master) OSS1 OS server(standby) OSS2 redundancy error". I am attaching an archive the diagnose folder from the failed server right after startup and screenshots from RedundancyControlDiagnostics.exe of both machines in the zip. If anyone can help I will be grateful! Maybe I made a configuration change without noticing the day before or there is something else...? Thank you in advance! Best Regards, Attachmentdiagnose.zip (145 Downloads) |

Hi Nikola, Just an additional thing since you mentioned that downloads did occationally not work. Do you or anyone else ever access any of the servers with Remote Desktop (RDP)? If so, this might be the problem for the download issue. Make sure RDP cannot be used. If remote access needs to be used for the servers, then use for example VNC: How do you access WinCC and PCS 7 plants with "RealVNC"? |
