PAC 4200 as Gateway for Modbus

manuelchapa Member Joined: 1/7/2010 Last visit: 10/25/2011 Posts: 9 Rating: (1)	Hi to everyone. I am trying to use a PAC4200 as Gateway for Modbus, but it doesnt work. I put RS485 expansion pac inmod1 I configure RS485 parameters (adress, speed, response time, parity, stop) I configure slot 1 as Gateway MB I try to connect using port 17002 as is the manual PAC4200 is firmware V1.2.0 (last version) I dont get led flashing I try with 2 software After that, I get another gateway an it works with the 2 software. My plan is using PAC4200 as Gateway for Modbus, I check everthing but something is miss (in fact I putanother gateway working). Now I look for aexamples, like PAC4200 with PAC3100, but i dont find it. If somebody is using PAC4200 as gateway, can send how to implement? Thanks in advanced

rynite Posts: 50 Rating: (6)	Hello, I guess there is a mistake in the PAC4200 parameter settings. The SENTRON PAC4200 meter has two gateways: "serial gateway" and "modbus gateway" Look to the attached file, please. There you can find an example for a SENTRON PAC3100 device firmware update.The second example use ethernet Modbus TCP/IP connection via SENTRON PAC4200 serial gateway. The attached *.spl file is a SENTRON powerconfig V2.1 sheet. Attachment Example_Description.zip (555 Downloads)
