Hi Shanny, I don't have any experience with your problem, butwhile other people might be curious to the express card this link might help. Have you seen the item Connect laptop to S7 MPI/Profibus Whitout PCMCIA slot Have you contacted your local Siemens office to attend them on your problem? Good luck |

Hi shanny, VO(reg), of the 5V output is 5% (250 mV) and 1A. Other and/or older cards do have 3.3V. I hope that's a good enough answer. grtz FKIL |

JBell, in answer to your question, IIRC Express Card and PCIe are the same. You can read up on it at www.expresscard.org or at the PCI consortium. Express Card to PCCard (or PCMCIA if you prefer) adapters have been around for ~ 2 years at least. I googled and found this link: One source for Express Card to PCMCIA card adapters I looked into buying an adapter from NewEgg when I received my Dell a year ago. Didn't bother. Other neat hardware out there is express card to PCIe cages from Magma. |

I picked up my Express Card to Cardbus adapter Friday. PC Express Card to Cardbus Adapter It installs easily, and supposedly the CP5511 card I have installs properly too. Simatic Net does not recognize the CP5511 when it installs in this adapter. If I go to device manager, it says error code 12 has occurred - not enough system resources available to this device. The memory that the card tries to allocate is already taken. I tried manually configuring the resources for the card, but the only memory choices offered to me were already taken. I called their tech support - they say this is a known problem - OK, no solution there. I looked at the C5511W2K.inf file for loading the system driver for the card. I noted the memory allocation for each of the manual override possibilities are all similar. So I'll try tweaking that when I'm on a plane later this week and see what I get. If anyone knows about the driver loading of the CP card, must I restrict the MemConfig values to the override possibilities given in the INF file, or are there other areas I can use? |

Please notechapter 3 of the "Released for Delivery" In my words:To use theCP5711 you need: SIMATIC NET V7.1 SP1 or STEP7 V5.4 SP5 And STEP7 V5.4 SP5 is actual not released! (status of 14. April 2009). I tested the CP5711 (in a virtual machine) withSTEP7 V5.4 SP4, SIMATIC NET V7.1 SP1 and WinCC Flex 2008 (I think with SP1), andit worked. |

Hi Shanny I had same problem. I have bought this adapter and I use it with CP 5512. I have connected it to SIMATIC S7-400 and to SENTRON WL with COM15. http://www.delock.de/produkte/G_66214/merkmale.html It works fine. |

Hi, shanny Cp5512 discontinued. To replace them, use CP5711. For his work need only 5V, for example, from USB, unlike the adapter MPI-USB, which should be 24V and which is not all connectors MPI / Profibus. In addition, this CP, and it supports more features, including 12MBod p.s. did not notice the date of the first post. Now all the posts 2012year irrelevant, since the question was asked a few years earlier. With the "necro"post colleagues |

Similar solutions can be found. I have given him same solution as you but with other adapter. |
