The valve is too slow for the process. Increasing gain will increase overshoot and the integral parameter will increase overshoot also and increases settling time. Try using the derivative parameter, increase slightly, this will decrease overshoot and settling time. What you also can do is using the PID tuner in CFC.. As you see, Icannot give you a concrete answer.PID tuning is based on formula's (search for Ziegler-Nichols or Cohen-Coon) or just by adapting, adapting, adapting... There is no sure answer.. |

Dear Pranish's, You could try using Zeiggler-Nichols method for tuning your PID controller. Using this technique decent tuning parameter values can be arrived at from where further fine-tuning is possible. You can refer attached document on Zeiggler-Nichols method for better understanding.
