Dear OMKRIS2017, If I understand you correctly, you do not know how to assign your plant in 8 levels of plant hierarchy right? For your information, it is not a must to assign 8 levels of hierarchy. It depends on how you want to present your plant in your HMI and how many levels do you want to display on HMI to represent your plant. Let me give you some examples based on my current practice. We separate different plant / huge system by different servers stations. For one of the server, we named it as Process. Then we design the plant overview/hierarchy by analysing the system inside the Process. After that, we came out with a conclusion to separate them into 4 levels. The first level could be the Plant Area Overview. Level 1. This is for the whole plant overview. Then the second level could be Process Area Overview. segregating the plant into a different process, then arrange some useful process monitoring data on this process overview. (Extra: normally some of them will put the plant area overview to be one of the hierarchy folders in this level too.) Then the third level could be the Process Unit Detailed Display where you put all the detailed lines in P&ID for the process. You might have a lot of P&ID pages combined to become a small process. Then the fourth level could be the supporting /diagnostic graphics / Miscellaneous graphics for the small process. With this, it concluded four levels of the hierarchy.
