Hello YogendraG, basically your calculations are right, but keep in mind: + current consumption of CPU is a typical value, it depends on the workload of your CPU and could be higher if your cpu has to handle interrupts or is heavily used otherwise. It could also be less if your program does not make heavy use of your CPU. + current output of 1600 mA to backplane is a maximum value. Its likely you will not reach that value. + 1 mA for a digital input is a typical value. Depending on state ("0" or "1") and input voltage it could be more than twice as high. +500 mA for a digital output is a maximum value. If you have outputs that would need more current, you would need a relay between. Normally you would not drive all your outputs at 500 mA, in many cases not even one. So if you do the calculations forpower supply, you should add some safety power to your calculated value. regards |

Not sure where the 1mA for the digital input is from. In the manual, a digital input at 24Vd.c. takes 4mA, I have actually measured the S7-1214/ac/dc/relay inputs and they take about 5.2mA. |
