Power Monitoring with PAC3200 and Desigo Insight

Or can anyone advise me which suits better to use with Desigo... Does there anything exist within the Desigo family a standard hardware to do power monitoring ? Thanks in advance, Regards, O.

Albis Silver Expert Joined: 6/4/2010 Last visit: 9/30/2024 Posts: 387 Rating: (129)	Dear forum member, Desigo Insight does not support the direct integration of the PAC3200 power meter over the modbus protocol into the management station. You have basically two options: 1. Integration of the PAC3200 with Desigo PX-Open or Desigo TX-Open You may use a PX-Open or Desigo TX-Open to integrate the PAC3200 power meter into Desigo PX. This solution has the big advantage of off-line trending. You may need the modbus RTU interface in case of PX-Open. 2. Migration of Desigo Insight to Desigo CC Desigo CC allows the modbus direct integration of this PAC3200 power meter. Desigo CC provides specific object models and libraries for this meter and other power meters. In addition, Desigo CC provides specific Power Management features which may be interesting for you. Desigo Insight is already in the service phase. The service phase may end in 2…3 years. The migration to Desigo CC may therefore a suitable option. Please note that there are specific migration licenses discounts in place to make it affordable to migrate to Desigo CC. Best regards, Albis

Is it possible to send me a link with documentation about this topic ? Is there any application example of this setup ? Thanks in advance, Regards, O.

Tzortzis Posts: 1 Rating: (1)	Desigo CC has a native Object Model for PAC3200 since version 3.0. That makes the integration easier and very good looking.
