problems with anlog output sm1232,

Advanced Member Joined: 3/4/2014 Last visit: 1/12/2021 Posts: 45 Rating: (0)	Am getting problems with anlog output sm1232, i had moved the analog input value to analog output value on the program analog input is on address %IW112 AND %QW112 RESPECTIVELY, am using SM 1232 AQ4 14 bit resolution, my problem is at the terminal i m not getting at ma current., what wul be the problem, not coming anything for troubleshooting, suppose if i give 10ma at input on addres %iw112 i m getting same value on %qw112., but on the terminals im not getting anythoing hope my quesion understodd pls help me asap

Advanced Member Joined: 3/4/2014 Last visit: 1/12/2021 Posts: 45 Rating: (0)	actuallly i am taking a 4 to 20 ma input to my panel via analog input module and i am splitting this signal to 2 othe systems via analog output module. now i m testing the panel in our workshop, i m injecting the 4 20 mA via an injector and checking the mA at the output terminals , i mnot getting anything at these terminals eventhough i had moved input to both these channels. what i had done is i moved directly the input to 2 output channels , hope its clear

They constantly get the inner / outer or upper/lower terminal rows mixed up. The diagram on the module shows the physical layout, but it is not intuitive or they would wire them 100% correct every time. Perhaps your panel builder had a similar problem? What diagnostic status information are you getting from the plc using the online/diagnostic option from the portal project tree?

Be sure that you are measuring on the lower terminal block. Check the value of IW112 and be sure that it has a value other than zero or 32767. Between 0m and m you should see 0mA unless you have a common mode problem. Between the +0 and 0m you should be able to insert your multimeter into the circuit and measure the mA in the circuit. If you have a mA stimulator that can inject exact mA of current, you can do that and make sure your program configuration is correct.
