Hi, We're using Step 7 5.5 SP4. We have an existing system, configured long ago on an early version of Step 7, that has Profbus slaves (ABB ACS600 c/w NPBA-01) defined by the file PROFI@TE.200 file (attached). It's working fine. We want to move some of these slaves to a different Profibus network, but we've found that we can't copy or create new slaves based on this PROFI@TE.200 file. We can’t go back to an early version of Step 7, because it wouldn’t support the PLC hardware that we are currently using. We've contacted ABB but it appears that there is no GSD file avaiable for this device. What's the solution? Regards Ross Umbers Insight Engineering AttachmentProfi@te.zip (92 Downloads) |

Hi, The CPU is 6ES7 414-3FM07-0AB0. The ABB slave is NPBA-01 (ABB Profibus adapter for ABB ACS600 drive). Using an old PLC &/or old Step 7 version is not an option we are interested in. The PROFI@TE.200 file is what is specfifed in the ABB manual for the NPBA-01. See attached manual Appendix F. Thanks Ross AttachmentNPBA1B.PDF (83 Downloads) |

Hello. It seems you can use gsd-file for NPBA-02 (abb_0815.gsd), as it's "Ident_Number" is the same as of NPBA-01. You can check this in gsd-files. Anyway I try to import your 'PROFI@TE.200'-file and it was recognized correctly only in ComProfibus V3.3. I have made an export gsd-file of your slave from ComProfibus (NPBA-01.GSD). You can find both files in attachment, try these both files. Attachmentabb.zip (93 Downloads) |

Hi KSN, I'll try both of those GSD files early next week. Thanks Ross |
