Hello Y. Paenen; If you require protection from salty environment conditions, maybe you should look at marine grade cables and connectors. This manual provides technical information on Profinet cables and connectors offered by Siemens: SIMATIC NET: Industrial Ethernet / PROFINET Passive network components https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/84922825 The Marine-grade cable shown in the screenshot below is also mentioned in the document you posted in your original post. For shipbuilding, the FRNC jacket(Flame Retardant Non Corrosive):offers protection against the aggressive actions of salty atmospheres, and also helps for fire protection. When it comes to connectors, Siemens offers no specific model for marine applications; the closest they can show are IP65/IP67 M12 or RJ45 plug connectors (see sections 2.11.5 and 2.11.7 of the manual, for example). Other manufacturers such as Lapp, Belden (Lumberg) and Phoenix Contact offer similar cables and cords. For example:: https://t3.lappcdn.com/fileadmin/DAM/Lapp_Czech/SLUZBY/KE_STAZENI/KATALOGY_EN/Profinet_2014_AJ.pdf Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
