Hello elvis; I am not familiar with your particular Samson PA slave, but maybe I can help you out with the PA data communication structure. Any PA slave configured on a Profibus-DP master network will reserve 5 bytes, divided in 2 sections: - the first 4 bytes are reserved for the main variable of the slave, in REAL format (32 bits, IEEE 754 floating-point representation (a S7 REAL value); - the last byte is a status byte I found a manual for the Samson 3785, there are different modes that can be selected you must select between them in the positionner configuration. In the example below, the REAL value (first 4 bytes) is used toi transmit a setpoint to the positionner, the status byte shows the result of the operation. https://www.samsongroup.com/document/e83821en.pdf The REAL value can also be a position readback, for example, so you have to find the mechanism that will choose how the data exchange operates at any given time. Study section 7.2 to see the different variants, the attachment refers to variant 1 (setpoint + status). The following document (and the first one above) mentions a Samson software TROVIS-VIEW that you can use to configure the positionner before operation.
