Replace segment 1 of a function block

Move cursor to the first line / instruction you would like to copy 4.) Hit F1 FLD Sta . A green star should appear on the left side. 5.) Move your cursor to the last line / instruction. 6.) Hit "SHIFT" F1 FDL End. 7.) Hit F5 Mark Fld. 8.) Insert / Enter create a new emty segment in STL in the emty new segement go to Edit Mode and hit F4 Ins Fld. I hope this helps.

I have a hardcopyof the Manual of Step5 V6x and in section 3 you can find the procedure. Trank Posts: 22 Rating: (0)	At the destination function block, say FB2, after Insert (F5), it is not permitted to hit Nwe (F1), Buffer (F2), or From Seg (F3). The warning message was showing: "1083:Inserting not possible" as shown in the attached picture. legacy support Gold Member Joined: 7/15/2008 Last visit: 3/13/2025 Posts: 382 Rating: (44)	As you may have seen in the Note on 3-70 you can not copy a segment if you have Labels ( Jump Labels are OK ) in the FB. If would like to copy FB Segments with Labels, you may want to get Step5 V7.xx With this verison it is possible.

Trank Posts: 22 Rating: (0)	Even the source segment1 of a function block has no label, it still can not be copied to the segment 1 of another function block. STEP5 v6.5 is not permitted to do so and it has nothing to do with label.Same asSTEP5 V7.xx. Again, is it possible to copy segment 1 of a function block and put into or replace the segment 1 of another function block? Please be noted that, the above description is referring to segment1, not segment 2 or the rest segments.

It is notpossible to copy segment 1 of a function block and put into or replace the segment 1 of another function block. STEP5 does not permit this operation!
