S120 PB Configuration Telegram error

Hi,

After re-downloading the HW Config to the CPU S7-300, I now have an error in my S120 Drive (Error 1900, code 211).

I've checked the telegram configuration in Starter, remade the address synchronisation to the HW config, and re-downloaded both the Starter project and the S7300 HW Config but this error won't disapear.

Even reloading everything from a backup, restoring the S120 to factory default and reseting the CPU before downloading everything agin but nothing to do, this error 1900 won't go away.

Sorry my bad I made the screenshots too fast and it was while I was trying some changes in the addesses order. 

I used of course the button to transfer to the HW Config and it's correctly synchronised and downloaded (see updated screenshot here) 

Starter is V4.3.2.0

S7 is V5.5 SP3

The S120 FW is 4.4.0.23 (CU320-2DP)

But it did once work, it stopped working when I had to redownload the HW Config (for a change regarding the HMI). And I don't seem to find any old backup that has a HW Config that makes this thing work.

I have to admit that the commissioning of this machine was made from another computer, so maybe it is possible that there is some difference between the commissioning computer (a company laptop that I no longer have) and the PC I'm using now.

But I won't be able to tell what software diffrence it could be if any.

Edit: I've found a CD of S7 5.5 SP4, I'm trying to install it, maybe it will help.

It's possible that I had to install DriveES once (but it doesn't seems to be installed on my computer right now).

The link you gave me points to "SIMATIC NET Industrial Ethernet Switches SCALANCE X-200 - Operating Instructions" and there is only a link to a pdf.

Perfect, it's working now. I don't know what was happening before !

Edit: the download link is working, not the comunication between the CPU and the S120 yet.

Anyway, I'm downloading it now and the installation of S7 v5.5 SP4 just finished (finally !) so I'll try to compile and download the HW Config from here then I'll install the starter 4.4.

I'll keep you updated with the results.

In the download link you've given to me the file name of the ZIP file only mentions G110 and G120 :

  Vol_1_STARTER_V44_SP1_Program_G110_G120.zip (1,2 GB) 

optionally:

 Vol_2_STARTER_V44_SP1_SSPs_Rest_of_SINAMICS_Family.zip(719,1 MB)

optionally:

  Vol_3_STARTER_V44_SP1_HELPS.zip (1,0 GB)

And while running the Setup, there was no option for S120 (I've downloaded and extracted these 3 zip files and launched the setup.exe from CD1).

Maybe this is something that will come after or that I can download from somewhere else.

Yes I've followed these instructions, and now Starter v4.4 is installed (I just didn't know what SSP Family was and that it included S120).

Anyway, now I've opened my project in starter v4.4 and was asked for a conversion (which I did) then I redownloaded everything but unfortunaltely I still have the same error (1900 with code 211)

NB: S7 v5.5 SP4 is also installed

Here is what I have with the new starter.

I've also displayed the online FW versions if this might be of any help.

Now all I can think of is "why didn't I've tried this in the first place !" but anyways, thanks again !

For any reader here, here is the procedure followed with a bit more details:

1. In Starter, right click on the drive object -> Expert -> Save the project and export the object
2. Enter a path to a folder (out of the project folder)
3. Close starter
4. In the Simatic manager, delete the object (and confirm the deletion of the code program too)
5. Go to the HW Config and recompile the project without the drive object
6. Select from the library the drive again (for me it was an S120 CU310-2 DP) and drag & drop it onto your field bus (profibus for me)
7. You should now be prompted to select a firmware version for your drive (in my case I choose V4..4 as its what was on the drive in the flash card)
8. Save and compile the HW Config then close it
9. Open the project again in starter (the newly created drive object)
10. Right click on the drive object -> Expert -> Import the object
11. Navigate to the folder where you've exported the object before and select the xml file
12. Now go to the telegram configuration (in starter) and synchronise the addresses with the HW Config
13. Save and compile the Starter project, Go online and download it to the drive
14. In your HW Config save & compile, then also download to the PLC
