S210 S7-1200 Axis Error

TIM77 Advanced Member Joined: 5/7/2012 Last visit: 12/18/2024 Posts: 35 Rating: (2)	I am trying to use a S210 with a S7-1200 PLC (1215C DC/DC/Rly) I have followed this guide: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/no/en/view/109757918 When I get to the commissioning step, I get the following Error message: "Error when adapting the actuator configuration. (Maximum speed/maximum velocity (p1082): Parameter does not exist, or its value either cannot be read or is outside the permissible limits. Parameter reading was cancelled because of an error signaled by the hardware)". See attached screenshot. I have logged on to the drive and the parameter p1082 do exist there. There are no errors in the diagnostics view in the drive. The values under Current values are getting updated. The name of the device is the same under Online access and Device view. Huhujuhu Posts: 2 Rating: (1)	Hi, If you disable the checkbox you must make sure that the value of p1082 is same as in axis Configuration. Then this Solution is also fine.

How can I resolve this error? Dear Tim77, We have seen your issue also in some other cases. This can be fixed in two ways: 1. deselect the Checkbox "Automatic transfer of drive parameters in the device" in the "Basic Parameters" of the Technology Object. In that case you have to ensure that the values in "Reference speed" and "Maximum speed" are the same as in the S210 parameters. Reference speed is parameter P2000 and maximum speed is parameter P1082. 2. Update the Firmware of your S7-1200 to V4.2.3 or higher.
