Hello soliman; The 6ES5 466-3LA11 and its successor module 6ES5 466-3UA11 are bith described as AI modules, 16 direct or 8 differential inputs, measuring unipolarvoltage and current. See teh S5-135U system manual for more details: SIMATIC S5-135U/155U System Manual The S5 adapter modules to S7 link I provided above cites only one S5 AI with approximately the same caracteristics, the 6ES5 465-4UA13, with 16 inputs for voltage or current. For this module, the document proposes either a 6ES7 431-0HH00-0AB0 or a 6ES7 431-7QH00-0AB0 S7-400 AI module, with adapter module 6EZ2 041-8UG 77-0EU21 (see page 20). However, to get full validation of these part numbers, I would initiate a Support Request (see the link at the right of this page) to get siemens support to voice their opinion on this. Hello zizo soliman Short answer: There is none Longer answer: This S5 AI is not commonly used asit is a is a high speed AI (2 or 4ms update time for 8 and 16 channels respectively, see also techncial specin chapter 9.6 ofSIMATIC S5-135U/155U System Manual). S5 to S7 Front connector adpators are great for DI's and DQ's, (and work a treat) but even with "normal" S5 AI cards you'll find that the avialable ones can not always be used. Reason being is that the AI Front connector adaptorsare availablein one version for Voltage AI's and in another for Current AI's. This though only works if ALL AI's on one AI card are of the same type. In a lot of cases you'll findsome channels on a given AI card are used as Voltage and others as Curent,so you can NOT use a Front connector adaptor andneed to manually rewire the S5 front connector onto the S7 front connector.
It depends and I suggest you do the following assesment first: 1.) How many channels are used on the S5 AI card (e.g. 16 single or 8 differential onesor a mixture) 2.) The S5 AI card is a high speed one and there's a good chance this was a deliberate choice. If high speed AI's are required, the 6ES7431-1KF20-0AB0is the one to go for (but only has 8 AI channels, so if 16 are used on the S5 you need two of these cards). I hope this helps |
