Dear JSMEL, Perhaps this manual might help: SIMATIC HMI WinCC flexible 2008 Communication Part 1 how is the connection between a Windows-based panel and a SIMATIC S5 set up? Best regards, Wizard |

The operating instructions do show an RS485 connection between the MP277 and the S5 processor. Thanks for your patience. Attachmenthmi_mp_277_operating_instructions_en-US_en-US[1].pdf (344 Downloads) |

Dear IBN-Service, When you have a look at the manual: WinCC flexible Communication part 1. Link is in earlier post. See chapter 7.2.1.1. communication over AS511: "No special blocks are required on the PLC" See chapter 7.2.2.2. communication on Profibus DP: "you require the function blocks FB158 and FB159" (You can find on WinCC flexible DVD) Best regards, Wizard |

Hey guys, awesome thing, thanks for the comments here and also in the topic /tf/WW/en/Posts/33734, I have been solving a similar problem, connecting an OP 177B with an S5-115 through AS511. I would just like to point out that this is possible since SP2 of WinCC flexible 2008, which means version of OP 177B device 1.1.3.0, using the components suggested in the quoted post. Thanks to everyone participating in this and the other topic mentioned once again! |

New question published by SIS AN is split to a separate thread with the subject Use three cables to conect S5 135U and MP277. Best regards |
