no this is not possible.

On the HW is the FW not labeled.

You can check the FW Mainline with the MLFB.

To see the firmeware of the CPU you must look online with TIA Portal or S7 Automation Tool.

6ES7 214-1AE30-0XB0    FW1.0 - FW2.2 (difficult upgrade to highest)
6ES7 214-1AG31-0XB0    FW3.0 (no upgrade possible)
6ES7 214-1AG40-0XB0    FW4.0 - FW4.1 (easy upgrade to highest)

For PLC including and below FW3.0 requires
Step7 (TIA Portal) version 11 or higher (10.5 not recommended).

FW4.0 requires Step7 (TIA Portal) version 13 or higher.
FW4.1 requires Step7 (TIA Portal) version 13 SP1 or higher.
