Hello *Crapaud; A CPU normally acts as a Master Class 1 on Profibus-DP: it holds a defined configuration of all slave exchanges, and polls them cyclically. An HMI, a SCADA installation, or specialized software (such as Simatic PDM, or Pactware for Profibus-PA) can supervise the Master Class 1 and interrogate it upon need, without a defined configuration for cyclic communications. It also can set a slave Profibus address over the network, and has other specialized functions specific to a master Class 2. See this article form Automation.com for a better description: https://www.automation.com/en-us/articles/2009-1/introduction-to-profibus-dp So: you cannot configure or program a S7 CPU (or any Profibus Master Class 1) as a Master Class 2. If you have an HMI (for example) connected (with the adequate tags setup) to one or more Masters Class 1 over a Profibus network you could collect the data you require. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
