Hello, i would really like your help. I'm new in the forum and in the Siemens world. Now i'm trying to control a CU230P-2DP by PROFIBUSwith a S7300 and CP342-5, the problem is that i have never worked with this elements before so i have some doubts. I did research to be able to do what i have done until now. Ineed to control the frecuency of theCU230P-2DP with the PLC S7300 and send and recieve the information through the CP342-5 by PROFIBUS. Basicly the logic is like this, first I set the control word (W#16#047E) and the set point of the converter CU230P-2DP, wrinting the values in PAW256 and PAW258 using MW1 and MW3, then i try to send and recievethe information with the functions AG_SEND and AG_RECV by PROFIBUS using the CP342-5. The real statusof the converterwill be recieved in PEW256 and PEW25, then i move the values to MW5 and MW7 to see them in the variable table. I will also usetheIOP (screen)to configure the parameters of the converter. The first questions would be: - Is the logic ok? - where do i find the BUS DIRECTION, because i have to configure it with DIP switches of the CU230P-2DP to be able to communicate. - all the parameter are configured by the IOP? for example: p0700... - any comment and help i will appreciate. Dear josbar, Perhaps this link might help: What should you watch out for when configuring a CP342-5 as DP master? So you need the Functions DP-Send and DP-Recv.
