 Hi, I am trying to open this project in TIA portal V15, but I get the following error:

"s7-1200 cpus with firmware version v1.0 are no longer supported"

How do I proceed so I can open this project (no need to actually run it), I just need to see how to set up the Send_PTP function with everything around it.

It is a brand new 1215C with V4.2 firmware and CM1241 (using RS-485).  All I have is V15 basic, not sure what to do (newbie in this).

My goal is only to see an example of SEND_PTP. Tried to google/search all over the place, but have yet to see a complete example of how to properly set up the SEND_PTP. I am able to receive data when sending from PC hyperterminal, though my data is quite shifted (sending "a" receiving "O"). Have checked all communication parameteres (baud rate etc.)

Edit: I am having a really hard time just looking into datasheets, examples is far better for me.

for simple test you need only SEND_PTP block and DB with Array [0..max] of Byte. Fill your DB elements as you need (f.ex. first 5 bytes with some values 0-255) and set correct fields in SEND block. TIA help is clear what each input/output parameter means. LEN specify how much bytes you can send from 0-th index position. Set REQ to true and check in code with bool condition DONE->true. After DONE true you can reset REQ to false. Simple, after this data was send via serial line to partner, in this case you can see them in Hyperterminal or other serial SW.
