Hello, Dividing by 10 is not applicable for AI module 6ES7 331-7KF02-0AB0. It is applicable for 6ES7 33-KF02-0AB0. Hope this helps.

I can not agree with you, Ayman. Dividing by 10 is just a form of scaling an applicable for all AI because you do it in the Step7 Software. |

Well, someone better tell Siemens then to remove PT100 from thetechnical spec of the 6ES7331-7KF02-0AB0 as well as the S7-300 Moduledata manual (or alternatively reconsider the given advice ). |

You can not configure this module as RTD for PT100 std. as for6ES7331-1KF02-0AB0

Hello Ayman, I understand your point about the 4-20mA but I'm afraid you may have made a wrong assumption. Please, check attachment and also please, check pages 273 and 274 in theS7-300 module data. You can even select climatic or standard PT-100/Ni-100 in the HW config. However, There's a drawback and I believe maybe that's why it's not normally used for PT-100. You can not connect more that 4 PT-100 (one for every group/2channels). This is why most of HW designs go for 1KF02 since you can use the 8 channels for PT-100 and consequently this will save money and space. Best regards, H-H

You can not configure this module as RTD for PT100 std. Hello Ayman just because the short description of the 6ES7331-1KF02-0AB0does NOT explicitely list "RTD" in it, doesn't mean it doesn;t support directPT100 connection. I suggest you scroll further through the tech spec as well as the manual and I'm confident you'll agreethat direct PT100 connectionsare supported by the 7KF02 (as well as that the scaling is in fact as simple as dividing the AI value by 10). @hari haran you hopefully haven't been too confused by the conflicting advise that you have received.Allow me to suggest youhave a look at SIMATIC S7-300 SM331;AI 8x12 Bit Getting Started Part 2: Voltage and PT100 which will guide you through PT100 usagewith your 331-7KF02. |
