Another note.. Some PLCs allow time interrupts. These can be set to regular intervals. w |

Thank you for that link. That would sure help Sajit if he is using an S7-300 / S7-400. Those functions are also available on the S7-1200 (FW4) and S7-1500. @Sajit: Please tell us which PLC and what software are you using? w |

i'm using S7 400 with Step 7 5.5. First i am planning to store the data in sql database and then apply a relatime filter for the first 15 entries as per schedule time earliest. regards Sajit.

Dear William, my issue is still not resolved. The trigger is not the issue. My machine will create a trigger which I will use to save the time and date of when the activity was done. Then I need to add a particular no of hours to this savedtime and date to get the new date and time for again doing this activity. The same activity is repeated every half hour at different locations (72). thanks |

Hi. Sorry for the late reply. I am a bit surprized that an expert did not come forward with an answer that pushes you in the right direction. My contribution to this thread was to help things along.. getting the conversation started for the experts to swoop in with an answer. It has been a while for me using Step7 V5.x and S7-300 / 400 system. What you need I have had the need to use. However.. please find attached a printout which I think might help. It comes form the help inside TIA, but it should still apply. I think when you use this time delay interrupt, you will not need to add time. -- that is unless I have misunderstood the final goal. I ask you to have a look at the PDF and follow up on the relevant literature ("System Manual") for your CPU. Please get back to this foru with your thoughts and hopefully there will be someone her with a helpful answer. Good luck. w AttachmentTime delay interrupt OB.pdf (88 Downloads) |

Hi Sajit, I think this is what you are looking for Add Time to date and Time. In standard library - IEC Function Blocks - FC1 -AD_DT_TM. This add TIME into DATE_AND_TIME. Otherwise you have to extract hour from DATE_AND_TIME and addition has to be done. You can extract hours from DATE_AND_TIME by DT_TOD and many other ways. |
