Sequence prog, logo

Hello evryone!

wel i"m new here to this forum and newbie for LOGO as well.

i have, LOGO FS4, and LSC 8.1.

I'm stuck to one logic, though i have tried to make a simple program of sequence control of sensors but my program becomes really long and lengthy, and yet not done it correctly.

what i"m trying is, for one of my current simple project:-

1). i have 8 proximity sensors [pnp 24v dc]. on a long slide , 8 sensors mounted at some distance from each other

2). at a time there would only and only be 1 sensor to be on. 

3) if more than one sensor is on, its a fault condition [ Q1 IS ACTUATED IN THIS CONDITION]

4).if any of the 2 sensors are on at a time , which is a fault  ;, Q2 IS ACTUATED ALONG WITH Q1

5). IF ANY of the 3 sensors are on at same time , which is also a fault;  Q3 is actuated along with Q1.

6). If any of the 4 sensors are on at same time, which is fault condition, Q4 is actuated along with Q1.

7). if more than 4 sensors are on at same time , which is a fault condition, a flag say M1, is actuated along with Q1.

8).LOGO SHOULD STORE THE PREVIOUS 10 SENSORS ACTUATED IN CORRECT SEQUENCE.

Well guys i"m sorry, if i"m asking too much, coz i have been trying this logic for so long and still havent got to any point , and my program becomes really bulky.

sorry i might have not expressed it properly.

about that last point numer 8.  ;  i meant, i would like to know the last 10 sensors [actuated] activity in correct order.

for EXAMPLE :  sensor number 3 actuated , then sensor number 7 actuated, then sensor number 1 , then sensore number 3 on, then sensore number 5 on,   then sensor number 3 [again] and like that way,  the last 10/ previous 10 sensores actuated in correct sequence.

in that way we can make out how the machine is exactly behaving or just moving between fixed few sensors only.

so want to have the record of [atleast]  last 10 position in correct sequence.

did i make it clear?

From my perspective you have not done anything and is hoping that ixo65 is doing your homework for you. With these words I am not trying to be your enemy.

Prove me wrong and show what you have done so far.
At least point 3 and 4 should be easy to do?

For the memorizing portion of your assignment - roughly:

1> Convert the inputs to network bits to construct a VW word.

2> Use a counter with comparators to indicate 1 to 8 saving positions

3> Use the "Mathematic instruction" with output when EN is off, set to last value.

WE DO MAKE OUR OWN PROGRAMS DEFINITLY, BUT YOU DO IT MUCH BETTER WAY. BY USING SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS AND REDUCE THE PROGRAM SO SIGNIFICANTLY.

Hi,

you could use the Data Log function to store the last 20.000 sensor activation's.
Just trigger it with every I1-I8 and store values you want on the MMC.

How should I know, without a description of the sequence of sensors, when which sensor comes in the right order? I have no crystal ball.....

And the LOGO! has no memory like an S7 or similar.

about that FIFO logic, i must say thats a wonderful program, thanks to ixo65.

and yes i do agree to vkkepl, about learning and discovering more and more about Logo and its application, through this forum and the experts sharing ideas and helping out the needy ones,  and neither do i care what somebody else thinks.

@Adrian,  i have never done the data log, but its a wonderful idea and i would love to learn it sometimes for sure.
