Hi kamb, Please see the below link, this may help you. Siemens make Simovert Master drive series drive will be most applicable for this application.(Ofcourse this is my view) http://www.yaskawa.com/site/products.nsf/ProductDetailPages/Industrial%20AC%20Drives~A1000%20Drive~A1000-specs-features.html About the motors, the type no you have specified doesnot match with any one with Yaskawa make, pls confirm it. Hi DEEP, Actually I had to explain existing system. Now here is the explanations: 1) System is to move torch car to cut steel slab in continious casting machine. 2) Motor is a special motor including two motors. One AC motor and one DC motor. AC motor is single speed which move the torch car to the edge of slab, then DC motor (variable speed) will take care of the rest for cutting slab. I have attached the spec of the motor (please take a look at page 6 of the attached file). The controller is a YASKAWA Servopack. I also have attached the connection diagram from servopack to motor.
