My Customer had a lot of S5-100modules through the ET100 distributed network.
I needed to replace the S5-100 module to the latest module.

I had to fight a lot of wiring, in a short time. By customer and my boss request.
Because the environment on site is not good, it will be easy for mistakes to occur.

However, my boss is experienced.
He knows that in the short term many labor will increase the risk of mistakes.

I am happy so I will introduce ES100 connectors to everyone.

Interesting, but if you have a lot of S5 Modules on ET100, a even better and more cost effective way is to keep the S5 I/O ET100 modules and only change or add a ET200 Bus module and use Profibus to your PLC.

I have done this on may projects.

I attach photos before work.

There were 16 units.

I attach pictures after work.
The wiring was connected to the ET 200S via ES100 connector.
ET 200S was connected to the latest CPU by Profinet.

The wiring work ended definitely in a short time.
We were able to focus on checking the program.
