Hello, You have to post this thread in DC converters SIMOREG product conference so that user would get better response . Anyway I would request moderator to transfer this post in proper conference. Now to your post subject topic. Please answer following points. 1. Where is the location of additional resistor which equalizes the current? Is it near field winding at motor or inside the panel/compartment? Is it manually adjusted? Is the resistance connected individually in series with field winding for two motors or two separate resistances are connected in series? 2. How much is the ambient temperature? Normally when DC motor field is switched on, after some time motor field winding resistance drops because rise in winding temp & field current increases proportionately. But in your description, you mentioned the reverse case, so please check. Moreover if the resistor is fitted in panel then in such case, it would drop the current. 3. Why you connected in this way? Normally if armature winding are connected in series, then field winding is also connected in series & if armature winding is connected in parallel then field is also connected in parallel. Please check this 6RA70, SIMOREG DC-Master and SIMOREG CM, Motors in series or in parallelField resistance is sensitive to temp & field current affects DC motor torque & speed. So it is very important to maintain field current at rated value & constant. One more important point is panel AC temp not to be set at 25 deg cent. Condensation problem may affect the life & performance of electronic card. Set it to 30 deg cent. .HTH
