SINAMICS S120 CU310-2 PN, PM240-2

S.Filipov Experienced Member Joined: 1/24/2018 Last visit: 1/19/2021 Posts: 47 Rating: (0)	Hello Siemens community, I am having trouble finding a GSD file for CU31-2 PN (6SL3040-1LA01-0AA0). I've read the posts stating that I can use this device only in TIA V15, I have installed it and it is not present (only CU320-2 PN is). Trying to find a GSD file for the CU310-2 PN proved in vain. In addition, the power module is nowhere to be found either: 6SL3210-1PE16-1UL1 Could you please assist me in any way with maybe a GSD file for TIA V15?

There I'll have to locally input only speed setpoint. About the CU310-2 PN I need to be able to change the motors speed via a HMI as well as Start/Stop operation. For that, I have to have yet another TIA portal - V16 ?

I do not see any kind of communication possibilities for the PM240-2 in the manual. What am I missing? The electrical schematics do not include any king of CU module for the PM240-2, that's why I'm saying it's not planned to be connected to the PLC.

S.Filipov Experienced Member Joined: 1/24/2018 Last visit: 1/19/2021 Posts: 47 Rating: (0)	According to the schematics, there are 2 drives connected to PM240-2 that has CU240E-2PN 2 CU310-2 PN connected via ProfiNet to the PM240-2s, as well as to the PLC. The drives are started by a Digital Output from the PLC that is connected to a Contactor at the AC power supply of the PM. As far as I see it, commissioning through ProfiNet and control via this DO and it's connected contactor.
