Will it be possible to obtain a copy of that correct PLC-314-C and use that? What is SDB? |

Hello. Can you explain what SDB is? is that a file in the PLC/NC archives? and what software do I need to have before add appropriate SDB if any? or can you do this directly on the cnc control screen? please dont hesitate to write if you need any additional information/pictures/files regards flemming |

UPDATE. We now have homed it in Y Z B C axis and we have 2 problems 1. X axis during homing procedure hits the switch the first time and moves 20 25mm forward and begin its move towards home position. it stops and gives me and alarm that x axis cant find its home position. please see pictures for the actual alarms. I have looked at the switches but they look as it is original placed could it be wrong MD settings? 2. when I try to move the Y axis it sounds like the y axis is jumping and gives this horrible sound like if it scraping against a screen cover. but there is nothing hitting anything. I have cleaned the ball screw and bearings and it runs smooth when you move by hand. 2 fingers then you can turn the axis motor belt. I do see that the belt looked very crispy and was the rubber falling apart when rubbed. I have ordered a new belt that I hope will fix that contour alarm please see picture for the full alarm text. if its not the belt. what could it be? I've tried to take contact to machine dealer but they dont reply back to my emails. any suggestions is warmly welcomed... if you need me to find out more details please just ask and ill post ASAP. regards flemming Attachmentalarm pictures.zip (336 Downloads) |

UPDATE. Today I tried use MDI to move the X axis with the following command in MDI G0G91X100. The axis move between 20MM and 50MM its a little random how many MM it moves before we get wait. FEEDRATE ENABLE MISSING. When I try with G1G91X100.F1000 It moves just under 1 MM before wait. FEEDRATE ENABLE MISSING. I wanted to try put RPM on the spindle. In MDI S1000M3 and I got the following error see picture. Also now I get Wait Read-In enable missing. The other thing I noticed when you are in MDI mode. On the left side og the panel you have some view choices! G fct+ Transf Auxiliary Func. Spindles Axis Federate Now if you look at the pictures I take you can see the box will show you commands or information depending on what view choice you push . take the picture where I chose Auxiliary func. The gray box shows the view you chose. Now to the new thing I noticed WHY is SPINDLES gray box empty??? And I cant activate the spindle motor buttons on the machine control panel. or work with the tool change/spindle release button by the machine I read on siemens forum with people who have similar problems they refer to maybe problem in OB1-OB100 ? I dont have the original project file so its hard for me to know what I'm looking for. can anyone help me guide me. what should I be looking for when I get Feedrate enable missing/Read-in enable missing But as I see it. Our machine dont see any spindles attached to the machine. Normally you should get some information like current spindle speed spindle load and so on. any help on what I could check would be great. thanks guys Attachmentscreen.zip (376 Downloads) |

I found out when I try to move the axis in MDA mode using G91 it moves a few millimeters and I fist see the text wait;axis enable missing just for a split second and then wait;feed enable missing... I try search axis enable missing and I found this post. the original poster found out his problem. he writes as follows.. =========================================================================== ok there!!! thanks everyone for answering!! but i found the solution to this problem!so here it is, for everyone using adi4: first you start by doing this obvious steps, 1. you set machine data MD13050 $MN_DRIVE_LOGIC_ADDRESS[X]=272 or whatever address you gave the adi4 ports in STEP7 2. you set machine data MD13060 $MN_DRIVE_TELEGRAM_TYPE[X]=3 so it is frame message type 3 as it is set in step 6 adi4 configuration tab and then but not so obvious step is (here was my problem): 3. you set machine data MD13070 $MN_DRIVE_FUNCTION_MASK[0]=FH by default it comes with 0H, this machine data seems to set 611U compliant mode. At first glance i didn't modify this MD because i did not check the 611U compliant mode checkbox in adi4 configuration in the STEP7 hardware settings... the weird thing is that if you DO NOT set this MD, you get all the other signals (ready, etc, etc, etc) but you never get the PULSES ENABLE signal so the control always says "WAIT: ENABLE SIGNAL MISSING or similar) =========================================================================== now can it be I have similar problem? attached is my plc-nc arc. plus S7 project I renamed files .zzz please delete .zzz AttachmentS7 project file plc nc arc.zip (375 Downloads) |
