Hello Everyone,

I have a scenario where i place a PDF or HTML file on server (e.g. Help file for operator).

i want to open that file on client on button press in WinCC runtime.

The document is not copied/downloaded to client, it is only available on server. It means on button press the file should be fetched from Server and opened on client.

Does anyone have any idea how to do it ?

PCS7 version: PCS7 9.0

i'm not expert in pcs7 but with wincc i use WinCCWebBrowser control with this c script in button to load documents :

SetPropChar(lpszPictureName, "Control3", "MyPage", "\\\\143.10.10.101\\Files...\\MT_Doc\\List.pdf");

I tried by hardcoding the IP address of the server as given in your example and it works fine.

however i can not hardcode the IP.

Is there a way to get the IP or the computer name of the Server from Client?? is there any function available?
