Ton Verra Gold Member Joined: 4/20/2007 Last visit: 1/29/2021 Posts: 705 Rating: (37)	Hi all, After receiving my new laptop, and installing Step 7 Pro 2006 SR6, I get the following error when opening step 7: software package missing, cp 343-1 When I open a hardware config from an old project: One or more objects of type (242015) cannot be represented...... same message with code: (242016) and (242017). After that I get the message No changes can be made to the station. Help please!

Could attach here screenshots of all messages? This will helps to find the reasons for that. BR, Hristo Mihalev

This options package is not installed. - Install the missing S7 options package. In your case with CP343-1 this could be “Softnet” software package. Do you know what type of connections are using there regard CP343-1? BR, Hristo Mihalev

Late Platinum Expert Joined: 1/7/2006 Last visit: 11/21/2020 Posts: 2705 Rating: (302)	Hi Ton, Please look for the Hardware Support Package of this CP 343-1, it could be that this is not installed, so that only an older CP 343-1 (which one??) is installed in the hardware catalog of STEP7. You could read in this new version (when the STEP7 version can do something with it) in the hardware projecting. See also STEP 7 Hardware Support Packages (HSPs - as at 11/2010) for installing hardware updates in the Hardware Configuration It is also possible that the version of STEP7 is already updated some times with Service Packs....

Look at Simatic Manager nach Servicepack 5 Installation langsam beim Öffnen . But I can't remember which one from them was in SR6. Later I'll check and let you know. BR, Hristo Mihalev
