Hello, I wanted to display with the "USER" led if the IOT2040 is able to access the PLC, a S7-1200 to name it but it could be anything with a specific IP address. Here is what i did. Install the node "Advanced ping" node-red-contrib-advanced-ping1.2.0If the link is dead, you can go to https://nodered.org/, then "Flows" tab and search "Ping". I had to use PuTTY to go into the .node-red folder. Command: cd /.node-red Your IOT need to be connect to internet. Validate using PuTTY command: ping 8.8.8.8 Use the below command to install "Advanced ping" node:
You will get a confirmation everything is install. Reboot IOT using command: reboot Install the "IOT2000 User Led" node Follow the step of this post: Access input pins, user button and multi-colour user LED from node-redImport the Node-Red flow Here is the clipboard import:
You should now be able to see the USER led goes red when you disconnect the PLC and green when PLC is reachable. Best regards, Hugo |

Thanks to this post I was able to configure the programm to use the subnet of the IOT instead of requiring the user to provide an input.
I hope, this is helpful. I'm still trying to figure a way to use a flexible subnet mask, for situations when the IOT has not a mask of 255.255.255.0 |
