Dear ehuamanib, one indication is that your stop-ramp (in ramp function generator) is factor 5 more dynamic that the start-ramp. As I suppose that your n-control bandwidth is limited due to big moving inertias (1000hp) the overshoot in the stop-ramp is explicable. I recommend to perform a similar test equalizing the start- and stop-time. The resonse should now look similar. If not you maybe have applied some torque limits or differences in the values of positive torque limit vs. negative torque limit... If the behavior is not changing or improving I think the most effective way would be if you send the STARTER project, some traces and the mechanic system description to the SIEMENS support creating a "Support request": https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/de/sc/2100 There an entire analysis of you settings is possible. |

The command to stop the motor is by profinet, setting the main setpoint to zero (p1070 [0] = 0000H). The command word is always 0x047F. |
