Stopwatch to HMI from LOGO!

GUY7ON Regular Member Joined: 6/20/2018 Last visit: 7/30/2019 Posts: 51 Rating: (0)	Hi In LOGO! there is a stopwatch function and i want to be able to use this to display cycle time on a HMI so as when the input is made it starts a visual with the numbers counting up, Can anyone help please? I only have the one ethernet so i am literally programming plc then the hmi and then connecting them together to test

And HMI) must each have a connection set up, the LOGO! connection must be a server connection. On the Siemens page with the application examples, there is also an example of the communication between a LOGO! 0BA8 and an HMI (TIA Portal). Application examples for LOGO! Look at example "HMI communication starting from WinCC V11.x (TIA Portal)" The software versions of the example are not yours, but should be enough to show you the way. With TIA V13, the communication driver is no longer S7-200, but LOGO! Look, if you can handle this example. If not, contact me again.

I have known this website for a long time and also the examples. But I prefer to ask the help-seeking user where his problems are before I post examples. When trying to explain how something works, the learning effect is higher than simply typing blindly an example.

You need to add your PLC and HMI device connection there. And then goto TIA, open connections column and Define LOGO connection there with correct IP of HMI and LOGO. You will learn it slowly, don't worry. even when I started with LOGO it was very difficult. Now at least I know something with that. Thanks, Jay

In the attached photo, it shows your HMI IP is 192.168.0.2 and LOGO IP address is 192.168.220.13. If you are connecting like this straight, it cant work without proper routing. Change your LOGO IP to 192.168.0.1 and change the settings in Softcomfort and download both HMI and LOGO with the same IP settings. Attachment Capture3.PNG (14 Downloads)

Default gateway is important when you work with many controllers and HMI connect to different switches. Its about Networking. You will slowly understand that. No worries. Jay
