Synchronisation of Axis with Master Encoder

HShaikh Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello, We have an application wherin the Real axis has to be synchronised to the Master Encoder. We are using D435 with SLM and DMM. The Master encoder is Drive cliQ encoder. After start command from HMI or operating panel Push Button, we want the real axis to move the position value of Master encoder(Master encoder in standstill position). There after the real axis should move synchronous with the Master encoder. please provide the guideline to achieve the above mentioned task. Note:We are using the Gear Synchronisation block from MCC unit in scout. The synchronisation works only if the master encoder is started running immidietly after the start command is given. If Master Encoder remains at standstill, error 50007is displayed.... Waiting for reply.... Regards HShaikh

DenisMor Posts: 344 Rating: (49)	The noise on the real encoder is interpreted as negative direction of motion and axis/gear function is setup not to allow synchronization in the negative direction. Technology Packages Alarms Manual 50007 Error occurred while activating/deactivating the synchronous operation Cause Activation/deactivation of synchronous operation led to a fatal error. Possible causes are: .....During the synchronization operation, the master reversed direction and the selected synchronization/ desynchronization strategy cannot tolerate this reversal. The master value noise during actual value coupling can be considered as the direction reversal of the master. ..... Check the possible "Tolerance of a master value reversal during synchronization" (see Synchronous Operation, Cam Function Manual)...... Cam Function Manual During synchronization, when the direction of the master value is reversed, the synchronization process is canceled with error message 50007 output at the synchronous object. If the direction reversal is based on tolerable and predominantly non-influenceable master value fluctuations during downtime, as they occur in the case of an actual value coupling (socalled actual value "noise") or primary extrapolation of the master value, cancelation of synchronization can be prevented by specifying a tolerance band for the master value reversal (master value hysteresis) (V4.0 and higher). The maximum master value fluctuation to be tolerated by the system is to be parameterized in the configuration data syncingMotion.masterReversionTolerance in the master value positioning unit. An effective hysteresis at a value greater than 0 freezes the master value in the reversal point during direction reversal and thus simulates a still-standing master value for synchronization.

Or in the Symbol Browser Configuration Data>SyncingMotion>masterReversionTolerance. Enter there value higher than the noise of the master positionfound.
