Hi guys, with a customer we are currently implementing a Telit LE 910 Module for 4g mobile network connection. We can sell some pieces with that solution, so I think that I can make a step-by-step guide for the forum if we will have success. Togheter with the customer we contacted Telit support, but when we try to install on Yocto Example Image V 2.1.3. we get some errors. Investigating with the technical support of Telit, seems that the problem is the missing of the module cdc_acm If I understand well searching on forum and internet is that I have to build a new image integrating this module. What I want to ask is:
Thank you Davide |

Both features are present in the upcoming image that you can already build from the github repository. I'm not sure at the moment if that will be enough to get your modem running, though. Maybe you will need some userspace tools in addition - another reason then to build your own image. Building an image is not as hard as it may seem. You just need a standard Linux installation with Docker support (that is the easier path, in contrast to "native build"), can also be inside a VM, and follow the related instructions in the README. Report issues along this path here. And be patient, the first build will take hours. Conceptually, building the image via Docker should also work with Docker support for Windows. But I haven't heard of anyone trying this so far, and at least I would not be able to explain what goes wrong in case something does not work. |

Ok, I have: - builded up the new image using meta-iot2000-example - mounted with dd on a sd - tested and now after modprobe cdc_acm I can see the driver with lsmod In the next days I will test the image with customer and TELIT board.I will update this topic with the progress. About building image: - How I can copy the .wic file in order to send it to customer? When I copy the file from /home/MyUser/build/tmp/deploy/images/iot2000 the file size become 55bytes, so I think that it's not the right way to copy it. Thanks |

iot2000-example-image-iot2000.wic is a symbolic link. Follow it to get the real file ("cp -L" e.g.). You will likely also want to compress that image. With xz, you can get below 200 MB while the original file is almost 2 GB. |

if you can find more /dev/ttyUSB devices, then just try to use minicom to test the modem. normaily ttyUSB2 is for at command, but you can chek the manual from your manuactor to find which usb port ist for at command |
We are working on a new user interface with better overview and more relevance.
