I am a student and i am very new to plc programming and i have a problem regarding temperature control using s7-200. my project is based on automating a thermal fatigue test stand. In detail, the machine have a heat source(for heating a metal), a hydraulic cylinder(to carry the metal up to the heater or down into the tank) and a water tank(for cooling the metal). I am required to control this process in which the cylinder should go up to the heater and stay up until the temperature is between the range of 95-99 degrees after which the cylinder should move down to the water tank and stay down until the temperature cools to the range of 39-44 degrees. i also have a thermocouple. i have read papers and watched videos, and below is attached of what i was able to do. please i need your help. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hi Cruizler, U will need to use PID block for heater control. Rest of the Logic is simple & needs only timers. |
