For the adapter you were using VPN, remove the VPN "adapter" and protocol used by the VPN software. Then add it back to the adapter so it sits on top of the protocol stack rather than getting squeezed out by the newly added Siemens Profinet protocol stack. I'm facing the same issues; Blue screen (KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED, ndis.sys) when firing up my VPN. Started after installing TIA V17, unfortunately not resolved by this tip. Hopefully Siemens can patch this issue...

smopi Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hey there, using SinemaRC to connect to an OpenController 1505. Unfortunately i couldn't connect after installing TIA V17, because ending up in bluescreen. ndis.sys After unchecking "SIMATIC Industrial Ethernet (ISO)" my Remote Desktop connection works again but ther is no PLC visible in TIA anymore. Same problem in V16. After reactivating "SIMATIC Industrial Ethernet (ISO)" the remote PLC is visible again but immediately after estabishing connection it ends up with bluescreen again. Are there any further suggestions or is ther an other workaround available already? Thanks in advance.

themis.chatzis Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Not yet confirmed it 100% but i believe that this error is generated only when you are using ISO (L2) protocol with a non-signed or non-trusted certificate. Tested it in both NDIS 6.0 (fortinet ssl - proprietary driver) and 6.30 (watchguard ssl - tap driver) drivers with the same result. Private firewall with the default certificate and without a locally installed certificate for the user gives a blue screen. Azure gateway, eWON eCatcher (tap driver - same version with watchguard) and others cloud based gateways with the same functionality are working fine with SSL VPN but they have installed locally the trusted certificate.
