Hello, I just bought a brand new expensive Comfort Panel from Siemens. When trying to download to this KTP400 Comfort panel, I get the following error in TIA Portal V15 : "Download has failed due to missing panel image. Please install the missing panel image. Refer to documentation." Because Siemens doesn't mention where to find "documentation" (and Siemens offers a lot of documentation). I just looked in the documentation of Comfort Panels in general. There I find : "If there is no serviceable HMI device image on the HMI device, you can only update the operating system by restoring the factory setting. When restoring the factory settings, connect the PC to the HMI device via the PROFINET (LAN) interface." When trying to perform a factory reset of this brand new device, I get the message : "Reset to factory settings has failed due to due to missing panel image. Please install the missing panel image. Refer to documentation." Solution => One of the error messages also says "C:\...\blablabla.fwf missing => found this file in a previously installed folder of Tia Portal V14. => copied it to the folder where Tia V15 is looking => working (beware : VNC pasword of remote devices must be re-entered locally) Hope this helps someone. @ Siemens : please improve debugging. |

Hello, you need DVD3 for WinCC V15. here the panel files are stored, not on DVD1 not on DVD2. See the notes from the WinCC Download: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109752566 Regards Christoph |

Yes, I was wondering the same. I downloaded DVD 3 for the legacy panel images as per christophD's post (TY) and noticed on the same page the missing .exe file for DVD 2 that you have to complete a form to unlock (didn't seem to appear except with open in a new tab ) Not quite sure how to get it to work with the ISO, or if the install already noticed DVD 2 while running as V15 is working, well except for the missing panel images that is 8) |

I'm having the same issue when trying to create a USB image to update a system. It goes through most of the compiling then comes up with that error. It is insisting on KTP700dp_V15_00_00_03.fwf but the highest number I can find is KTP700dp_V15_00_00_02.fwf |

V15_00_00_03 is 15.0 Update 3, so it won't be on the DVD, but in the Update (download). |
